Who We Are
Amicus Response Corps (ARC) is a volunteer, community-focused emergency response organization dedicated to supporting the health, safety, and well-being of the communities we serve. We are proud members of the Alberta MFR Program.
Founded by people with backgrounds in emergency medical services, fire, nursing, public safety, and community response, ARC brings professional experience and a volunteer spirit together to provide medical support where it is needed. We support community events, provide Volunteer Standby Medical Services, and provide Red Cross First Aid Training Services to fund our volunteering.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, professional, and community-focused emergency event response, while being involved and participating ourselves. We are proud to be volunteers, proud to serve our communities, and proud to be Amicus Response Corps.
Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and bring different skills and experiences to the organization. What brings us together is a commitment to helping others and being there when our communities need us.

Our Story
Founded in 2015 by Advanced Care Paramedic Zak Souter-Lucas, Amicus Response Corps (ARC) began under the sponsorship of Armour On Safety before becoming an independent non-profit organization in 2019. That same year, ARC was recognized by Alberta Health Services’ Medical First Response Program, providing standardized medical oversight, training, and support.
Today, ARC provides professional, non-transport medical services to charities, non-profits, and community events across Alberta. Our goal is simple: provide quality medical support to organizations that may otherwise struggle to afford it, allowing more of their resources to remain focused on their mission.
ARC has supported hundreds of events and volunteers, while donating services to organizations and events including Make-A-Wish, Kids Up Front, the 2019 Grey Cup Championship, and many others supporting children, veterans, first responders, and communities.
ARC remains primarily funded by its founder and supported through equipment donations and community partnerships.
